SAGA DESIGN AWARD 2025 優秀賞 受賞のご報告

このたび、弊社が企画・展示を行った「彩色展（SAISHIKI-Exhibition）」が、初開催となる「SAGA DESIGN AWARD 2025」において94件より選定され優秀賞を受賞いたしました。

本展は、長年にわたり取り組んできた弊社社員の試行錯誤の積み重ねをもとに、
・その想いを空間デザインへと昇華してくださったデザイナーの岩尾玄樹氏、
・展示の魅力を最大限に引き出してくださった写真家・壱岐成太郎氏、
そして多くの関係者の皆様のご尽力により、形となったプロジェクトです。

このような取り組みが評価され、表彰いただけたことを心より嬉しく思っております。
改めてご協力いただいた皆様に御礼申し上げます。

現在、今年度の彩色展もより多くの方にお楽しみいただけるよう準備を進めております。今後の展開にもどうぞご期待ください。

Recipient of the Excellence Award at the SAGA DESIGN AWARD 2025

We are pleased to announce that our project “SAISHIKI-Exhibition” has been awarded the Excellence Award at the inaugural SAGA DESIGN AWARD 2025.

This exhibition was made possible through the years of dedicated effort and experimentation by our team members,

・the exceptional spatial design by Mr. Genki Iwao, who translated our vision into a compelling design experience,

・and the striking photography by Mr. Seitaro Iki, which captured the essence of the exhibition.

We are truly honored that the combined efforts of all involved have been recognized through this award.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to this achievement.

Currently, we are preparing a new edition of SAISHIKI-Exhibition for this year, aiming to make it even more accessible and engaging.
We look forward to sharing it with you soon.

 

展示概要｜彩色展（SAISHIKI-Exhibition）

彩色展は、釉薬・呉須の製造を手がける深海商店が日々の研究開発の中で蓄積してきた約2,000枚の色見本皿を一挙に展示する企画です。焼き物の世界における「彩色表現の奥深さ」と「その可能性」を、制作者や来場者の皆様に改めて感じていただきたいという想いから、企画・実施いたしました。

本展示を通じて、陶芸・窯業に携わる方々の創造力を刺激し、新たなものづくりへの意欲を後押しすることを目指しています。

Exhibition Overview｜SAISHIKI-Exhibition

The SAISHIKI-Exhibition showcases approximately 2,000 color sample plates created through daily experimentation and research by Fukaumi Shoten, a manufacturer of glazes and gosu (cobalt-based pigments).

This project was conceived to invite both creators and visitors to rediscover the depth and expressive potential of color in ceramics.

Through this exhibition, we aim to inspire the creativity of those involved in ceramic arts and support their motivation to explore new directions in their work.

佐賀県の陶磁器産地でものづくりを支える深海商店は、釉薬や絵具の調合・製造・販売を担いながら、普段は表舞台に立つことの少ない存在です。
しかし本展では、約2,000枚もの色見本皿を用いた展示を通じて、制作現場の方々はもちろん、来場者に対しても、陶磁器における彩色の豊かさと未来への可能性、そして同社製品の魅力を力強く伝えていました。

この展示は、企画力の質の高さと、それを実現に導いた行動力において、非常に高く評価できるものです。

Jury Comments (by Mr. Yu Yamada)

Fukaumi Shoten, based in one of Saga’s historic porcelain-producing regions, plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in the industry through the development, production, and sale of glazes and ceramic pigments.
Normally working out of the spotlight, the company took a bold step by presenting approximately 2,000 color sample plates. This exhibition not only engaged ceramic artists but also enabled the general public to fully appreciate the richness and future possibilities of color in ceramics, while also highlighting the unique value of Fukaumi’s products.

The exhibition was highly praised for its strong concept and the drive that brought it to realization.
